Happening Now: One day strategic meeting organized by Mansakonko Area Council with local stakeholders and UNICEF held on Tuesday 11th of February 2020 at Rural Development Institute (RDI) Mansakonko.
The purpose of the convergence is to develop a local action plan and address the needs of children in the Region and to discuss the challenges faced by institutions and come up with realistic solutions to those challenges.
The meeting will facilitate a stock taking exercise outlining the existing child focused interventions in the Region and discussions on the plans for the future to address the needs of children.
The meeting was attended by Governor of LRR Mrs. Rohey John Manjang, the Chairman of MKAC Mr Landing B Sanneh, the CEO of MKAC Mr Paa Sait Ceesay and staff, other line ministry representatives (Land and Health), UNICEF Rep and staff, and the regional representative of children welfare respectively.
The vice Principal of RDI Mr. Ousaman Sonko is the moderator of the convergence.
