Today the 21st October 2020, UNICEF handed over office equipments to the Mansakonko Area Council. The equipments includes, a laptop, a printer and two tonners held at the Council conference hall Mansakonko
The Chairman of the Council Mr. Landing B. Sanneh in his keynote address, said UNICEF is now a household name in LRR, because they are partners in development particularly in the Area and the Gambia at large. He indicated that apart from that, the Council has initiated some interventions to look at smooth way forward in the Area and this includes UNICEF support to Council to take up the ground. He said the Council is trying to coordinate and monitor the activities of children in the Local Government Area as well as how to periodically get stakeholders with regards to children affairs in the Region. He said our proud is to get UNICEF represented in our next quarterly meeting so that together we can shared some information and probably to get technical backstopping. He thanks UNICEF for the timely gesture.
