Mansakonko Area Council on the 20th of June 2019 received students from university of London Kids international projects (SKIP). As way of protocol Chairman Landing B. Sanneh introduced council staff at the meeting and gave the floor to the Guest.
Mr. Ebrima Kinteh who lead the team to the Council, said Council is the entry point for any projects/programs in the region as they are the primary duty bearer.
The discussions was centred on the following areas.
a. Maternal and child health
b. Education
C. Nutrition and
D. Migration
Maternal and child health- chairman Sanneh said drugs remain the major challenges in the health care centers in the region. He said women should also be sensitized on how to provide good food (balance diet) to children in their daily meals.
Migration-Chairman Sanneh indicated that service providers should discourage young people from using the back way to Europe by providing them with skills training and the like.
Chairman Sanneh disclosed to them that Council in recent months launched a project call educational trust fund geared to help needy and young people who want to pursue their education to the higher level.
The team expressed delighted on the discussions and the possible planned to partner and support the region in the above mentioned areas.
