OFFICIAL HANDING OVER OF KWINELLA MULTIPURPOSE CENTER IN KIANG CENTRAL DISTRICT.

A team from Manssakonko Area Council lead by the Chairman Mr. Landing B. Sanneh grace the official handed over of a community center provided to the Community of Kwinella by the Council through Gamworks.

The Chief of Kiang Central Alh. Demba Sanyang and the Alkalo expressed similar sentiments by thanking Mansakonko Area Council and Gamworks for the good job they are doing in the Region and has urged youths to make best use of the facility.

Mr Furmus Gomez of Gamworks Thank the Council, the Contractor and the community of Kwinella for being supportive and has urged the Youths to take ownership and manage the facility for the interest of their people.

The Chief Executive officer of the Council Mr. Paa Sait Ceesay in his remark, thank Gamworks, the Contractor and the people of Kwinella for the hard work. He said Mansakonko Area Council is one of the smallest Councils in the Gambia but there is good leadership. He disclosed that at this trying moment, resources are limited and revenue is not coming as usual due to the Covid-19 and in that regard, has urged Government to assist Councils in order to undertake its development projects.

The Chairman of the Council Mr. Landing B. Sanneh in his keynote address, stated that management committee will be constituted to run the affairs of the community center whereas sustainability measures will be plan. Chairman Sanneh thank Gamwroks, the Community and the contractor for the job well done. He call on the youths of the community to take ownership of the facility and use it for the right purpose.
